La Petite Maison's Cocktail – How to Make It

WThis is an easy take on a cocktail featured on our latest drinks list. It's a batch pre-mixed which is packed with essence of a festive period, making it ideal for a festive gathering. Save the extra citrus syrup you can use for brunch beverages, sweets, or for another batch of the drink.

Bikini Recipe

Serves 10 servings

To make the Citrus Syrup (produces 750ml)

300ml recently pressed clementine juice
200ml fresh lemon juice
500g caster sugar

To make the Drink (makes 850ml, enough for 10)

400ml premium vodka
100ml dry gin
150ml peach-flavored liqueur
200ml clementine syrup (see above)
Fresh cranberries, to garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch

Directions

For the Citrus Syrup: Put all the ingredients into a pan, bring to a light boil, mixing until the sugar dissolves. Then, turn off the heat and leave to reach room temperature fully. Decant into an sealable bottle, close it keeping it chilled, where it will keep for about one month.

Preparing the Premix: Combine the specified spirits and syrup into a large bottle, let it rest for 60 minutes, then strain best through a fine cloth, to ensure it's fully clarified.

To serve: Pour 85ml from the batch mix into a mixing glass packed with ice, gently stirring lightly for about 60 seconds to chill. Filter to a chilled martini glass or a similar vessel, top with some cranberries adding the final touch with a brief mist of the essential oil over the drink.
