The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Fighters Table

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of characters, and a exciting storyline featuring divine entities, fiends, and sinister influences increasing in power within the city.

Warning: Revealing details for Episode 3 of the new season lie ahead.

The Combat-Oriented Party Introduced

Episode 3 ended with a major cliffhanger and revealed the premier party of heroes who will separate from the primary party to begin their independent quest, separate from the additional parties.

This warrior group consists of Teor Pridesire (played by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), the cleric (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).

Why Split the Party?

With a large ensemble, it was clear from the start that maintaining everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.

That’s why, the initial installments of this story serve as an Introduction, intertwining the personal journeys before splitting into three separate parties: Soldiers, Schemers, and Seekers.

What Defines the Combat Party

Per the DM, the warrior group is for adventurers who prefer a typically action-packed battle-oriented narrative style where non-violent answers are scarce.

Upon first impression, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might appear unsuited, but the actions of the latest installment make it clear why these five characters are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.

Reasons to Leave

First, the team has a clear idea where to head next after a violent initial meeting with the antagonists.

Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose passing initiated the campaign’s events—used the foes for his own means, invading the hidden lair, striking Thimble, and stealing all the magical artifacts to sell off.

Casimir then paid off his liabilities and escaped to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond the urban center, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.

Personal Motivations

Moreover, each adventurer has a individual motive to depart the urban setting:

  • The rogue, as the companion and trusted friend, desires retribution.
  • Kattigan is familiar with Timmony and cautions that it is a hostile environment.
  • Tyranny and Wicander, having disobeyed his house’s orders to eliminate the fighter and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
  • Yet, their position as important members in House Halovar could help the party access places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Furthermore, The fighter pledged a life debt to Wicander for his rescue and will now follow him wherever.

Fugitives

In addition, all of them are hunted by the authorities that govern Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally no longer safe:

  • The rogue and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
  • Tyranny and The healer turned against the influential house and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
  • The fighter is wanted dead by House Halovar.

This results in them no alternative but to head to the remote area in quest for the traitor.

Upcoming Developments

According to the recent installment’s post-show segment, we learn that the warrior group won’t be around the following episode, leaving the other eight cast members to form the Seekers and Strategists groups.

Fans can expect finding out which adventurers will be assigned to which table in the story’s concluding setup installment, released on the upcoming Thursday.
